Hearing Review

Adult hearing tympanometry

Hi!
It's time to check your hearing again.

It has been a while since we last saw you.

As you know, it is not always easy to tell by yourself if your hearing has changed.

Our Hearing Review helps you to remain confident in managing your ear health and to stay on top of any changes to your hearing, tinnitus, dizziness, blocked feelings or ear wax.

Hearing well also allows us to more easily connect with loved ones.

Having seen us before, you know that you will receive top quality care and support with clear explanations and quick reports. Plus we can compare the results for you so you know exactly where you stand compared to your last visit.

Leave behind any uncertainty about your ear and hearing status and book in today.

Top Questions

How long do Hearing Reviews go for?

Hearing Reviews take 45 minutes.

We cover the same comprehensive testing procedures from when we last saw you. After the appointment, another report will be promptly sent to you and your regular doctor(s).

Note: We can remove ear wax at your hearing review appointment if there isn’t excessive ear wax ($90 value).

How much are Hearing Reviews?

Hearing Reviews are $135 and go for 45 minutes.

Medicare rebates (~$45) are available for valid referrals only.

Do I need a referral for a hearing review?

No, you do not need a referral for a hearing review.

As mentioned above, Medicare rebates are only available for valid referrals. Hearing assessments are currently only rebated when referred by an ENT Specialist or Neurologist. Medicare requires that referrals must be issued within three months of the audiology appointment and can only be used once. In most instances, you will need a new referral to access Medicare rebates.

If you have hearing loss and require regular appointments, your GP can complete a Team Care Arrangement which qualifies you for up to FIVE Medicare rebated appointments in a calendar year.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for the Hearing Review appointment?

We already have your previous results on file so there is nothing to prepare – come as you are. 🙂

Can I bring a friend or loved one to the appointment?

Absolutely – we believe that four ears are better than two!
