Melbourne CBD Clinic
Our Melbourne CBD clinic is situated for the easiest access, drawing in city workers, those who live in the CBD or Southbank, out-of-town visitors, and many others who rely on the train or tram network. We see clients from far beyond the inner suburbs — including Brighton, Little River, Bendigo and Albury.
We opened here in April 2025, having moved from Southbank to provide more central access to Melburnians. We’re closest to Flagstaff Station, with a tram stop right outside the building — directly across the road from the RACV Club on Bourke Street.

Suite 207 / 488 Bourke St, Melbourne VIC 3000
Tuesday & Thursday, 9:15am – 5:15pm
Limited street parking available; availability is inconsistent, so we recommend booking a parking spot online in advance for the best price.
Tram stop right on Bourke Street (trams 30, 86, 96). About a 10–15 minute walk from Flagstaff or Melbourne Central stations.
Good lift access and step-free entry; wheelchair access is limited in parts of the suite.
Every service below is available at our Melbourne CBD clinic — the same full range as our Ivanhoe clinic.
We offer funding under Medicare, Private Health Insurance, NDIS, DVA and the Hearing Services Program.

Dr Gerard lives locally and wants to help you and your loved ones hear better for better human relationships and connections. Born hearing impaired, he has worn hearing aids since he was 15, and is passionate about creating the audiology experience he wished his own family had growing up.

Ruby grew up nearby in Macleod and worked regionally in Victoria before joining us. She became an audiologist after seeing the impact of hearing loss on her grandfather, who she’s now able to help. A former tennis coach, she’s excellent with children and puts every patient at ease.
After you’ve booked, you’ll receive a confirmation reminder 48 hours before your appointment.
We’re at 488 Bourke Street, between Queen and William Streets, directly across the road from the RACV Club. Parking availability is inconsistent, so we recommend booking online for the best pricing.
You’ll find us on Level 2 — turn left out of the lift — in Suite 207. Ring the doorbell and someone will let you in.
If you’re new to us, arrive 5–10 minutes early to fill in your intake form (if you haven’t already done so online) and settle in.
Our waiting area has comfortable seating for you and anyone attending with you. For young children, we have a “kids corner” with games, toys and drawing activities. Toilets are located in the central corridor.
We use a glass sound booth for testing, so ground-floor tram and traffic noise never affects your results.
Verifiable on Google Maps.
“Gerard and his staff are really easy to deal with… The city location in Bourke Street is also so easy to get to. I highly recommend this practice to anyone.”

“As an audio engineer who needs his ears in order to work, I felt more than safe to put my ears in his hands. If I weren’t just travelling through Melbourne, I’d make this my long-term clinic!”

“Very thorough and experienced team. Friendly and very knowledgeable. I felt very well looked after and the appointment did not feel rushed.”

We strongly recommend public transport. If you’d rather drive, book a parking spot online in advance as street parking on our stretch of Bourke St is limited.
The 548 bus runs closest to us, on St Elmo Rd. Ivanhoe train station is about a 20–25 minute walk away.
Of course. You’ll receive a link in your confirmation email/SMS. A paper version is available too, if you prefer.
We can hold your appointment for up to 10 minutes before having to reschedule. Please let us know as early as you can if you can’t make it.
We moved from our previous Southbank clinic in April 2025 — the medical practice we operated out of had to close, and we were also looking for a more central location to make it easier for clients like you to find us.
We use a glass sound booth for testing, so ground-floor traffic noise never affects your results. Our clinician always goes in with you, so you’ll never be alone in it.
Most of the clinic is wheelchair accessible, but unfortunately our glass sound booth is not, due to its small size.
Yes — we offer the same full range of services here as at our Ivanhoe clinic.
Currently Tuesdays and Thursdays, but we expect this to expand further with time.
